Introduction:
Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies (GCCTS) has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) - Education to Work Transition Project - Ministry of Education and Higher Education in partnership with AQSA university and Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA), and funded by the World Bank for the project entitled: " Improving the Quality of Students and Graduates of the Administration and Office Automation Program at Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies by Providing them with Digital Technological Skills to Increase Employment Opportunities (i-Admin)". Accordingly, GCCTS seeks the selection and employment of a highly-qualified consultant to design and develop a guide regarding "The digital technology for business administration and office automation in freelancing field"
Assignment Objective:
GCCTS is considering the selection of a professional and a highly qualified consultant to be part of the project team, who has strong experiences to develop and build the mentioned guide, in order to bridge the gap and upgrade the skills and competencies of the target group and qualify them to meet the needs of the market, thus, increasing the chances of employment, which the consultant should have an authoritative knowledge to:
- Design a basic methodology in the area of freelancing skills development.
- Contemplate the scope and extent of the administration sector in the freelancing field.
- Envisage the role of digital technology in supporting the administrative jobs and tasks in freelancing field.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Consultant will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:
Deliverables:
1- A detailed action plan including methodology, time frame, and the main activities of the process of developing the required guide.
2- An accomplished guide of "The digital technology for business administration and office automation in freelancing field" showing all required syllables. The guide must be in Arabic supported with English terms.
3- 2-3 Mentoring Workshops for a selected group of academic staff to discuss the use of the guide.
4- A final comprehensive report showing all work stages, development, findings and recommendations.
Essential Required Qualifications:
Qualified consultant should hold the following:
1- At least B.Sc. in business administration, science, management information systems, education or any related discipline from a recognized university.
2- Proven previous work experience in conducting similar assignment.
3- Five years minimum work experience in freelancing field.
4- Five years minimum proven previous experience in training sector.
5- High skills in gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
6- Fluency in English and Arabic.
7- Excellent computer skills.
8- Excellent analytical, research, report writing and communication skills.
9- Large autonomy; high flexibility and adaptation capacities to the contexts and environment, solution-oriented.
10- Strategic thinker.
11- Ability to comply strictly with deadlines and work in a timely manner.
Time Frame: The expected level of effort for the Consultant is (25-30 working days) during a period from 05/08/2019 to 05/11/2019
Start Date: August 5th, 2019.
Contract Type: Lump Sum contract.
