Project Title: Developing Knowledge and Skills of Computer Technology Program Students to Meet the Needs of Labor Market (CTech)
Introduction
Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies (GCCTS) has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF)-Ministry of Education & Higher Education and Funded by the World Bank, to implement the project entitled "Developing Knowledge and Skills of Computer Technology Program Students to Meet the Needs of Labor Market". Accordingly, GCCTS seeks the selection and employment of highly qualified Internship Manual (IMD) to be responsible for the design and development of a training manual which will be used as the main reference for a student field training program.
Assignment Objective
Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies (GCCTS) is now considering the selection of a professional and qualified local expert to prepare the above mentioned internship manuals in order to guide the interns and supervisors and to clarify the roles, duties and responsibilities of the Internship parties.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Based on the recommendations of GCCTS Academic Affairs and under the general direction of the CTech steering committee, the internship consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to the followings:
Following up conducting the needs assessment workshop with department staff and private sector representatives.
Prepare content for the internship manuals for the computer technology department based on the recommendations of the needs assessment study, curriculum development report and academic Affairs.
Following up with academic affairs, departments staff and project team to identify the internship procedures, prerequisites, forms and evaluation criteria.
Cooperate with project team to conduct a final evaluation workshop.
Present the methodology and the content of the manual in the evaluation workshop and reflect the recommendations on the development of the Field training (internship) course contents
Develop and conduct a training program for mentoring and coaching, for internship supervisors, to be able provide and mentor well designed and structured internship process to college students.
Deliverables:
Internship manuals for the computer technology academic departments of Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies (GCCTS), these manuals should be in Arabic and each will contain at least the followings;
Introduction to Internship (background, objectives,..)
Detailed and comprehensive explanation of the internship parties roles in the internship process
Specific and detailed presentation of internship procedures
Guidelines for each party to know the best practices of the internship process.

Internship Training Agreement
Internship Training Plan
Weekly Internship Report and Time Sheet
Internship Cumulative Hours Summary
Visitation/Communication Summary
Intern’s Evaluation of the Internship Program
Intern Evaluation by Site Supervisor/Mentor
Any other forms as may be necessary.
Evaluation criteria.
Introduction to the internship portal database.
4 training hours targeting about 8 internship supervisors
Minimum Qualifications:
At least a Master Degree in Education, Engineering, Management, or any related field.
At least three years of experience in internship field in higher education institutions.
Excellent reporting skills in both Arabic and English languages
Very Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
