Institution: Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies (GCCTS)

Project Title: Developing Knowledge and Skills of Computer Technology Program Students to Meet the Needs of Labor Market (CTech)

Introduction:

Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies (GCCTS) has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF)- Education to Work Transition Project/Additional Financing - Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the World Bank for the project entitled: "Developing Knowledge and Skills of Computer Technology Program Students to Meet the Needs of Labor Market". Accordingly, GCCTS seeks the selection and employment of Project Coordinator to work in project implementation.

Assignment Objective

GCCTS is considering the selection of highly qualified Project Coordinator responsible for the overall implementation of all project activities under the supervision of the Project Director.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The project coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks:

Ensure the successful implementation of the project through updating project implementation plan and providing adequate following up for the project activities.
Preparing and following up of all financial and procurement documents necessary for the project.
Following up of the project implementation plan, procurement plan and budget.
Arrangement of meetings and taking of minutes.
Arrangement of and participating in workshops and visits of project team.
Keeping track of incoming and outgoing correspondence and communications.
Management of all office activities especially via pertinent computer software.
Preparing and evaluating for all issues related to consultants hiring.
Evaluation and monitoring of project progress at all stages of the project.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and others contracted in the course of work.
Preparing of the progress reports of the project and Final report.
Performing other duties as may be assigned by the project director.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
Minimum two years of experience in project management & coordination, project cycle, time management.
Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office and Project Management Software).
Excellent English language and Communication skills.
Very good technical reporting skills.

Place of work:

The Project coordinator will work in GCCTS main site buildings in Gaza City.

Time Frame:

The duration of the assignment is (28 months), he/she shall work (8 hours) per day (5 days) per week.

Contract Type: Time Based contract
